Knuckle tattoos aren't exactly the most common location to get a tattoo, however many tattoo fanatics find the knuckles to be the perfect place for a four letter word tattoo.

Getting things done...

Finally getting a start on the quilting of the Wedding Quilt...I'm finding the backing fabric from Ikea is quite thickish & struggling a bit pushing through the machine ...only due to the weight..it has become quite heavy...will be warm that's for sure...not too good on my shoulders so will watch out next time I purchase from Ikea...I'm still a Learner with stippling but hey I'm happy with it and that's the main thing....

I nominated myself to help out with the Wedding Bouqets...this is what I've done so far...the Bride is having the Pink one ...the colour theme for the wedding is pink & brown...Noice.

Unfortunately things have taken it's toll here since we have been back with the coming & goings of DD ..settling back on the Gold Coast..looking for work etc... I had a bit of a Meltdown yesterday..in a Blubbering mess...I've been quite Low since last week ..very drained & lethargic...I didn't want to go onto medication for my Arthritic Shoulders but I think I'm at the stage of having too...being back in High Care work has not helped either so I am looking again for a Low Care facility where there is No Lifting....

I'm feeling much better this morning & DD is coming to do my Hair....I tried on the top that I had bought for the wedding and it is too small even though I have lost 2 dress sizes..I bought the smaller size thinking it would be ok...so that was the Icing on the cake yesterday...lol.now I'm out shopping again...buying the right outfit for Mother of the Groom is very Important for me I always like to look my best....

Sorry for venting but I do feel better for it and this is 'My Journal'....When you are always a Giver sometimes not getting back can affect you..I think that's what has happened with me...I know I always Give but not always getting back what I think I Deserve.....

These were Fabulous to see...Very Clever.

FreeForm Wallhanging by Prudence Mapstone....3mtrs long & 250 different Wool & Fibres used...this was Beautiful close up...so much work.

My Small purchases...a Kit of Neutral Fibres..Wool & Ribbon to make a Scarf....large ball of Hand Dyed 4ply wool for Baby E and I signed up for a 6month BOM with Niki Tervo...this was made up into a Gorgeous Quilt...I bought the first one..it is pre-printed...using DMC thread in soft Pinks & Blues but I think I will use Greens instead of Blue....

I was a bit dissapointed that the show was a lot smaller than I had expected...lots of Wool & Fibres...maybe 6 Quilt stands...was easy to get around not crowded at all...I think it is a once off show..I wouldn't bother going next year....don't get me wrong I Enjoyed it but could be a lot bigger with more stands....

Father's Day fun with Dad

Wow! We received our preapproval today from China in nearly record time. I'm so excited. Seriously. You'd think I was told to go ahead and book the flight. But our preapproval coming today means that tomorrow our dossier goes to China...instead of waiting until next Friday. One more step until I get to announce it all right here. This may call for some serious snackage tonight. High fat, high calorie goodness...here we come!

not much sewing...but got Nice mail

Well unfortunatley not much sewing being done here the last week...we have DD & baby E back under our roof..so things have been busy...apart from going back to work all I seem to do is Wash..lol...Sorry I've been Quiet in blogland but DD Hogs the computer...well I have managed to get the backing glued onto the wadding for the wedding quilt...I must get a wriggle on it is only 3.5weeks away...think I might be pushing this one...I will have an extra 2 weeks as they will be away for their Honeymoon...
DD..Baby E & Myself are off to the Textile Show in Brissy in the morning so I am looking forward to the day out...I re-joined Gold Coast Quilters yesterday...spoke to Lorraine Moran who is our workshop convenor now she is back on the coast...she said the Textile show is Great...hope she is right...
Seeing I didn't go to the Sydney Quilt show this year I have bought some Books that I would have had on my list...I have also purchased the full pattern for Kim McLeans Lollipop Tree Quilt...I have admired this from other blogs and it was way cheaper to purchase the pattern from the US....now to Collect some Kaffe fabrics to go with it....any Excuse hey...
