One blessed mama

Today we received our US Consulate appointment.  It is scheduled for December 21 at 9:30am.  What that means is:  

departure for China on 12/9,

gotcha day 12/12 or 12/13

pick up passport and visa on 12/23

departure for home 12/24.

Even though this would not necessarily have been our first choice, God's timing far supasses our timing.  On the positive side: Mikaela and Jacob will get to perform in the Madrigal dinner,  Joseph will get to participate in the 7th grade holiday carepackages for soldiers project, we will all have Christmas break to recover from jetlag, the kids will have Christmas break to catch up on homework, we will all have an extra week of bonding with Saidie before everyone heads back to school/work, and perhaps I'll even be able to get beds for the girls before we leave. 

 

We're really thrilled to finally KNOW and be able to PLAN.  I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that in less than a month, I'll be holding my daughter for the first time.  I'm one blessed mama!
