How to Add Music to Blogspot

Depending on the purpose of your blog, adding music can be a great feature. There are several free tools that will allow you to embed a streaming MP3. Once you have music streaming or for download on your blog at blogspot, you need to make sure you follow copyright laws and have full permission to be posting the music.

1. Go to you blog and write the entry to feature the music that you want. Save the draft when you are finished.

   Go to Imeem.com and set up an account. You can begin to add music or playlists. Go to the Music tab and click on the "Upload" option.

   Click on the "Browse" button to locate your song and click "Upload." After your music is uploaded, you will see the song on the Imeem player.

   Highlight and copy all of the text in the Embed box. Go back to your blogspot entry and click on the "Edit" option to edit your post. Click on the "Edit HTML tab" and paste the text to embed the Imeem player wherever you want in your article. Click on the "Preview" option to make sure the player appears correctly in your blog post.

   Publish your post and then view your blog to make sure that the player will play your song.
   
   

   Tips & Warnings

   • If you don't like the Imeem streaming player, you can add the Google gadget for a music player. First, make sure to host your music on a site, like Google Page Creator, and then go to the MP3 player gadget. Enter the song URL and then click on the "Get the Code" button to get the HTML code to place into your blog.
   • Make sure that you have the right to post the music on your blog. Review the copyright laws if you are unsure if post a certain song is illegal.
