Thought I'd share a little update on where things stand with our adoption. We are still waiting on our I800A approval from our government. This is our final hoop to jump through as far as paperwork goes. We have been fingerprinted and the necessary paperwork for this application is on file waiting to be processed. We could actually hear any time now, but probably won't hear for another week or two. As soon as that approval is in hand, we send it for certification and authentication in Chicago before sending the entire dossier to our agency. After they recheck everything, it goes to China to be approved. I can't even begin to say how glad I'll be when that is out of my hands!
The next piece of news is on the referral front. We received a call this week from our agency about a possible referral. We won't have any real information for at least a couple of weeks, but it sounds like one may be coming down the pike. Unfortunately we have absolutely no information to share now. But please pray for us as we wait-not so patiently!-to see what will unfold...And check back from time to time.
