Can she really be 5?

 Yes, it's true.  A certain little miss celebrated her 5th birthday at our house.  The festivities began on Sunday evening.  Maimie chose Chinese food with extra dumplings.  Her party theme was Beauty and the Beast, and she picked pink cake (imagine that).  After eating and opening presents, we watched the movie Beauty and the Beast.  It was Maimie's first time watching it, and she was hooked right away.

 

  Maimie would have loved to have received a live kitten, but we thought a nice stuffed kitty that purrs would be much better. 

Then, today, on her actual birthday, she got to have her first friend party.  Addie came to our house after lunch.  The girls got their nails painted, 

ate snacks,

made bracelets,

and played.

Happy Birthday, Maimie!  We love you, sweet 5 year-old girl!

Block 2 Lollipops.

Block 2 Lollipop Trees finished...it's looking a bit wrinkly I pressed it from the back...maybe not do that next time...I found amongst the French Hatbox fabrics were Darla...so I have ordered more Darla so each block now will be a bit brighter as well as the softer palette...I'm really getting stuck into these and I think it is mainly from the Glorious Applique blog...so much Inspiration & Support...still very Wet here on the Gold Coast...someone can have it now we have had Enough Already!!

It's very Wet here again on the Gold Coast...No Call Out for work this arvo...Mr.B having his afternoon Nap so what's a Girl to do....Get's Motivated that's What!..WooHoo it's about Bloody Time...as you can see I'm making something from Natalie Ross's New Book Get Red Red Ready for Christmas...for my Xmas Swap person...he he he...Sneaky...now getting back to the heading subjet...while I was Concentrating & thinking of a New Swap I have in mind for next year...the thought of Allergies came into my head...I for One have a Allergy to Peanuts BIG Time..yes I am ..there is a word for it but I can never remember it properly..I'm sure all you Nurses out there will let me know...I should wear a Bracelet but I don't...anyway I think we should let people know if we have Alleriges Especially if there is Food involved in these Swaps....If you do have Allergies in Food you can let me know & I will pass it on to your Swap person...now I know my Swap Person will read this so HI...

It's Official!

Gotta little somethin'-somethin' in the mail today:

It's kind of a milestone around here.  When each child has been added to our family, our car or license plate has changed every time.  With Mikaela, the Jeep had to go in favor of a Honda Accord.  With Jacob,  we got a green minivan and the plates changed to PSNPOD 4 (peas in a pod 4).  When Joseph arrived we upgraded to PSNPOD 5.  Before adding Maimie, we traded up to the suburban and changed the plates to DAYSWK 6 (days of the week), which is a bit of a play on our last name.  

Buh-bye DAYSWK 6...

Now we just need to go get the seventh "day" of our week!
